Black winter boots with space for a fuller foot
Froddo UP Hill Wool avoids the low ceiling that can make winter boots uncomfortable for children with a higher instep. The front is rounded and spacious, and the upper volume leaves room for wool and a sensible winter sock.
Two wide straps are easy for small hands and allow separate adjustment over the foot. A TEX membrane sits behind the mixed leather-and-textile upper, while the flexible Lifolit® UP sole provides a light, grippy base for daily wear.
Worth knowing: More internal volume is useful only when the foot can still be secured. On a narrow heel or low instep, tighten both straps and check that the foot does not slide forward.
Fit & sizing
This is a medium-to-roomy winter last intended for normally wide to wider children's feet.
- Best for normally wide to wider feet and a higher instep.
- The UP last adds space above the toes as well as across the forefoot.
- Two straps help secure the instep and ankle without laces.
- The rounded toe box gives all toes room, including the little toe.
- The construction is zero drop, with the heel and forefoot on the same level.
- Very narrow feet with a low instep may have too much volume inside.

Measurements are approximate.
Measure the length and width of both feet while standing and follow the longer and wider measurement. Leave 0.9–1.2 cm beyond the toes. Check the fit with the socks the child normally wears because wool takes up part of the inner space.

Remove dry dirt from the leather and wipe the textile gently. Refresh water repellency with a silicone-free spray suitable for combination uppers and TEX membranes, testing it first. Leave both straps open while the boots air-dry at room temperature. Do not place on direct heat or machine wash.
