Groundies Grit Black is a waterproof, high-cut barefoot hiking boot for day hikes and more demanding routes. Nubuck leather is reinforced with recycled PET mesh, while the TrueSense® GH2 outsole adds trail grip without a raised heel.

Weather and terrain

Grit is intended for shorter or multi-day hikes where grip, ankle coverage and weather protection matter. It is not insulated; choose socks for the season and allow the boots to dry fully between wet outings.

Fit & sizing

Best suited to average-width feet. Measure both feet while standing in the hiking socks you plan to wear and choose according to the longer foot. The table already includes 0.5–1.2 cm of extra room, so compare your foot length directly with the listed internal length.

Materials & care

Upper: Nubuck cowhide with recycled PET mesh.

Lining: Textile and mesh.

Insole: 100% recycled PET.

Outsole: TrueSense® GH2, 2 mm base with 3 mm tread; flexible, high-grip and zero drop.

Protection: Waterproof high-cut construction.

Care: Brush off dried mud, then wipe with a damp cloth. Use waterproofing suitable for nubuck and textile after testing it on a small area, and dry the boots naturally away from direct heat.
