A Family Manufacturer With Decades of Experience
Ameko is a family-run footwear company with more than 30 years of experience in shoe production. Unlike many mass-market brands, their entire production process remains in-house.
From developing shoe lasts, to model construction, stitching, assembly and packaging – everything happens within their own facility. The development process includes collaboration with physiotherapists and experienced footwear designers, ensuring that function and comfort are not compromised.
The result is children’s barefoot footwear that respects natural foot development while maintaining structural integrity.
Made in Europe With Tested Materials
Ameko shoes are produced in Europe using laboratory-tested materials. This matters especially when it comes to children’s footwear, where material safety is just as important as flexibility.
The brand holds the “Zdrowa Stopa” certification awarded by the Institute of Leather Industry, confirming compliance with strict quality standards.

Who Are Ameko Barefoot Shoes Best For?
Based on the models currently available in our store (indoor slippers, canvas shoes and leather sneakers), Ameko fits best for:

foot shapes that gently widen from heel to toes

normal to slightly narrower ankles

normal to slightly higher instep
The heel construction is lightly structured. It maintains its shape without feeling rigid, offering a balanced level of stability while allowing natural movement.
For significantly wide feet or very high insteps, we usually recommend exploring other barefoot brands with a more generous volume.
