Brown winter protection for active days

UP Path TEX Winter is the insulated version of Froddo's sporty Path boot. Sheep wool lines the inside and footbed, while the leather-and-textile upper keeps the boot lighter than an all-leather hiking style.

A waterproof TEX membrane, reinforced toe and reflective details are useful for wet, darker winter days. The combination of elastic reflective lacing and one strap makes the opening quick to use and secures the foot without traditional knots.

Worth knowing: The reinforced toe adds protection against everyday knocks, but it does not turn the boot into technical mountain footwear. The flexible sole still prioritises natural movement.

Fit & sizing

The UP last offers width and extra height for a fuller foot, particularly through the toes and instep.

• Best for normally wide to wider feet and a higher instep.
• The UP last adds space above the toes as well as across the forefoot.
• The rounded toe box gives all toes room, including the little toe.
• The construction is zero drop, with the heel and forefoot on the same level.
• Very narrow feet with a low instep may have too much volume inside.
• Elastic reflective lacing and one strap hold the foot across the instep.

Measurements are approximate.

Measure the length and width of both feet while standing and select from the longer and wider foot. Add 0.9–1.2 cm to foot length. Wool and winter socks reduce free space, so check toe movement and instep comfort before keeping the size.

Materials & care

Upper: water-repellent brushed natural leather combined with water-repellent textile in Brown

Lining: warm natural sheep wool

Insole: flat and insulated with sheep wool, without raised arch support

Outsole: light, highly flexible Lifolit® Barefoot UP rubber with improved grip

Membrane: waterproof and breathable TEX membrane

Fastening: reflective elastic lacing with one hook-and-loop strap

Protection: reinforced toe area and reflective details

Brush the suede sections when dry and wipe the textile with a soft damp cloth. Use a silicone-free protector suitable for mixed materials and TEX membranes, testing it first. Open the boot fully after wet wear and leave it to dry at room temperature. Do not place it on a radiator, use a tumble dryer or machine wash.
