Joma 1448 Brown offers a less sporty route into barefoot footwear. Its brown nubuck upper and understated earth tones sit comfortably with denim, chinos and relaxed office clothing, while the flat flexible construction gives the foot more freedom than a conventional casual sneaker.

Refined at the top, minimal underfoot

The softly textured nubuck changes the visual character without changing the essentials: a 4 mm rubber outsole, an anatomical toe box and a zero-drop base when the transition insole is removed. Textile and microfibre line the interior, and the 2 mm antibacterial insole helps manage perspiration during regular wear.

Best for regular-width feet, including a narrower ankle, and suitable for a regular or higher instep. The laces let you fine-tune the hold. Compare both internal measurements with your larger foot before ordering.

Brush off dry dirt with a soft nubuck brush. For deeper cleaning, use a product intended for nubuck and test it on a discreet area first; apply suitable protection after the upper has dried. Do not machine wash, soak or dry near direct heat. Remove the insoles and dry them separately.
