Groundies Grit Khaki are unisex high-cut hiking boots for short walks and multi-day routes across varied, challenging terrain. Their waterproof nubuck-and-mesh design is made for cooler spring and autumn days, combining protection around the ankle with the flexible, close-to-the-ground feel of a barefoot platform.

Protection without a rigid feel

Grit combines protective nubuck cowhide with mesh made from recycled PET. Inside, textile and mesh help maintain a more balanced environment during longer walks. The pronounced tread is designed for traction on changing surfaces, while the low-profile platform stays flexible enough for the foot to respond to uneven ground.

Fit & sizing

The Groundies Barefoot Fit has an anatomical toe box and is best suited to narrow to medium-width feet. Based on the Bububu fit parameters, it also accommodates regular to high insteps. The high-cut design provides targeted protection around the ankle.

Measure the length and width of both feet while wearing the socks you plan to use for hiking, then choose according to the longer and wider foot. Allow approximately 0.5–1.2 cm of extra room for movement and socks.

After a hike, brush away loose dirt. If needed, clean the boots with lukewarm water and allow them to dry completely at room temperature. Once dry, renew the waterproofing with a product suitable for nubuck and combined materials.
