A clean Chelsea shape with winter insulation

Froddo UP Chelys Wool offers the simple look of a Chelsea boot without a narrow or shallow toe area. The rounded UP shape gives more room across and above the forefoot, which helps when standard boots press on a higher instep.

An inside zip avoids pulling the boot on against the ankle. Under the Black nubuck, a waterproof TEX membrane and sheep-wool lining prepare the boot for everyday winter use, while the flexible Lifolit® sole keeps it light on the foot.

Worth knowing: Chelsea boots cannot be tightened like lace-ups. If the foot is very narrow or the heel is slim, check for excessive heel lift while walking.

Fit & sizing

The Chelys UP cut is intended for normally wide to wider feet with more volume through the instep.

• Best for normally wide feet with a higher instep.
• The UP last has extra vertical room above the toes and through the instep.
• The rounded toe box gives the big toe and smaller toes space without tapering them inward.
• The sole is flat from heel to toe and remains highly flexible.
• Very narrow, low-volume feet may not fill the boot securely.
• The inside zip provides the opening; there is no separate instep adjustment.

Measurements are approximate.

Measure both feet while standing and choose according to the longer and wider foot. Add 0.9–1.2 cm to foot length. Check the boots with the socks you will wear, making sure the wool does not crowd the toes and the heel does not lift excessively.

Upper: water-repellent natural nubuck leather in Black

Lining: warm natural sheep wool

Insole: flat and insulated with sheep wool, without raised arch support

Outsole: lightweight, highly flexible Lifolit® Barefoot UP rubber with improved grip

Membrane: waterproof and breathable TEX membrane

Fastening: zip on the inside of the boot

Construction: Chelsea boot cut, zero drop and extra room above the rounded toe box

Use a soft nubuck brush once the surface is dry. Apply a silicone-free protective spray compatible with nubuck and TEX membranes, testing it on a concealed area first. Open the zip and allow damp boots to dry naturally at room temperature. Keep them away from radiators, tumble dryers and washing machines.
