More room above the foot, not just around the toes

The Black UP FURRY W TEX solves a common winter-boot problem: enough width at the forefoot, but too little height over the toes or instep. Its raised UP profile gives the foot that extra vertical space without using a heavy sole.

Inside, wool and lambskin create a warm environment for cold days. Outside, brushed leather and a waterproof TEX membrane deal with everyday winter moisture, while laces keep the ankle and instep adjustment precise.

Worth knowing: The outsole has better traction than a smooth city sole, but no flexible barefoot sole can remove the risk of slipping on ice.

Fit & sizing

Choose this model for a normally wide, higher-volume foot and check that a narrow heel can still be secured with the laces.

• The UP last has extra vertical room above the toes and through the instep.
• Laces adjust the hold from the forefoot to the ankle.
• The rounded toe box gives the big toe and smaller toes space without tapering them inward.
• The sole is flat from heel to toe and remains highly flexible.
• Very narrow, low-volume feet may not fill the boot securely.

Measurements are approximate.

Measure both feet in a standing position, including length and width, and use the longer and wider foot for selection. Allow 0.6–1.0 cm of extra length. Check toe room and instep comfort with your usual winter socks because the warm lining reduces usable space.

Construction: zero drop and increased UP volume over the toes and instep

Use a soft suede or nubuck brush for routine cleaning. Apply a silicone-free protector compatible with brushed leather and TEX membranes, always testing the finish first. After wear in wet conditions, open the boot, remove the insole and dry everything naturally at room temperature. Avoid radiators, tumble dryers and machine washing.
