A warm lace-up boot when extra instep room matters
Froddo UP FURRY W TEX in Cognac is built for feet that feel pressure from above in lower-cut barefoot boots. The UP last creates more vertical space, while laces let you fine-tune the hold around the instep and ankle.
Wool and natural lambskin provide the insulation. A TEX membrane adds protection in wet winter weather, and the light Lifolit® sole remains flexible despite its more pronounced grip pattern.
Worth knowing: This is a good match for a higher instep, but the added volume can feel loose on a very narrow, low-volume foot. Check heel hold after lacing.
Fit & sizing
The adult UP shape is roomy in height without being intended for an exceptionally wide foot.
- Best for normally wide feet with a higher instep.
- The UP last has extra vertical room above the toes and through the instep.
- The rounded toe box gives the big toe and smaller toes space without tapering them inward.
- The sole is flat from heel to toe and remains highly flexible.
- Very narrow, low-volume feet may not fill the boot securely.
- Laces allow separate adjustment over the instep and around the ankle.

Measure the length and width of both feet while standing and choose according to the longer and wider foot. Add 0.6–1.0 cm to foot length. Wool and lambskin occupy part of the internal volume, so try the boots with the socks you plan to wear.

Brush dry dirt from the suede surface and refresh protection with a silicone-free spray suitable for brushed leather and TEX membranes. Test it on a hidden area first. Remove the insole and loosen the laces after a wet day, then let the boots dry at room temperature away from direct heat. Do not machine wash.
